Preparing your stay

Thalassotherapy is a wonderful relaxation experience and a way to find your sense of self.

Harmony and wellbeing are important so to reduce stress and make the most of your stay, it is recommended to follow these tips before setting out:

As a general rule, it is best to reserve your stay at least one month in advance during the high season.
Thalassotherapy provides an excellent chance to recharge your batteries after the winter fatigue, so look out for special offers during the low season (beginning of the year).

One you’ve chosen your thalassotherapy centre, you have the option of a variety of accommodation to suit your needs: a hotel with a restaurant, sea view, a centrally located, room service… There is something to suit everyone!

Similarly for your length of stay, a short stay will have purely relaxing and soothing effects, but a long stay (at least 6 days) will also have long-term benefits and therapeutic effects.

Please don’t forget to specify if you are bringing a companion or pet with you when you make your reservation. A partner can often stay for free and certain centres offer childcare. Although pets are strictly forbidden inside the centres, some hotels allow you to leave them in your room for a supplementary fee.

Many hotels have places of interest or sports activities nearby for you or to entertain your companion during your treatments, please contact the tourist office for more information.

To avoid any inconvenience please complete a reservation form, designed to inform you of the terms and conditions of your stay: payment, deposit, credit, cancellation etc.

Once the establishment has received your reservation you will receive a confirmation detailing the date and time of your appointment as well as the number of treatment days.

Mothers-to-be and post-natal stays:
Would you like to bond with your unborn child?
Have you just given birth and would like to feel yourself again? Because being a mother is also about taking care of yourself, thalassotherapy centres welcomes you from your 4th to your 7th month of pregnancy to relax you and get you in tune with your baby.
After the birth you can visit a spa from your 3rd month. On the menu: baby massage, a discovery of sensory pleasures and for you: re-mineralization and drainage massage. To ensure you have a relaxing stay, thalassotherapy centres provide baby care items in the rooms and some even have a crèche. And don’t forget that accommodation is often free for a companion (your partner or granny or grandpa can baby-sit while you are being pampered!).

All you need to do now is get your body ready for treatments and pack your bags.

To feel at ease during the treatments and optimize the benefits of your stay we advise:
- Epilating at least two days before the beginning of the treatments to avoid an allergic reaction.
- Not dying your hair in the week leading to your arrival as the colour can run during the different baths.
- Avoiding exposure to the sun before the body wraps.

We advise that you bring: 3 swimsuits (one for swimming, 2 others for the treatments), comfortable and practical clothing, sports clothes, books and CDs, body scrub, face and body moisturizer, anti-age cream, hand cream, your favourite shower gel… everything you need for your wellbeing!

Don’t bring anything valuable, and if you are staying on the grounds of the centre why not leave your makeup and jewellery at home to enjoy a more natural stay. Bathrobes, slippers and towels are all provided by the spa, and bathing caps are available to buy… don’t agonize about what to bring, travel light!
